At its July 2015 Meeting, Polperro Community Council resolved to “Proceed with the development of a Neighbourhood Plan and to make application to Cornwall Council for the designation of a Neighbourhood Area, to include the whole of the civil parish of Lansallos”.
There was overwhelming support at the public meeting for the formulation of a Neighbourhood Development Plan and an interim steering group of parish councillors and volunteers from the community was formed to progress the plan.
After over three year’s work, the draft plan has now been successful at a Public Referendum by residents of Lansallos parish held on 24th January 2019, achieving over 90% of votes cast in favour of its adoption. The Plan has now been “made” and has become legally binding as a planning document for Cornwall Council. The Neighbourhood Development Plan has a dedicated website which provides the latest news.
