Polperro Community Council finances its activities primarily through the Precept (the amount of money it raises from council tax payers in the parish). This is collected by Cornwall Council as part of your Council Tax Bill and you will see the Parish element of Council Tax listed in the “Breakdown of Charges” box on your bill. Polperro Community Council has set its Precept for the Financial Year April 2024 to March 2025) at £93905.44. The precept amounts to around £133.69 per year for a Band D household.
The Council also receives income from the door-pay systems on the public toilets at Crumplehorn and Fishnabridge, and an estimate of the annual income from these has been used in the formulation of the Precept. The Council begins its deliberations on the next year’s Precept level from its October meeting onwards and submits its final bid to Cornwall Council after the December meeting.
